The Brief
To convert a mobile non-friendly site to a site that modifies its output based on the kind of device viewing it.
This was with the intention of boosting the search engine rankings, which are now much more focussed on a site’s ability to deliver content to mobile clients.
The Process
We had to take the current site, without breaking its current SEO rankings and convert the CSS into a more mobile-friendly version. We made extensive use of the @media rule to allow the site to scale down to devices of different resolutions.
This involved tweaking some of the back-end PHP as well as front-end JavaScript, to make the relevant plugins and scripts more mobile-device friendly.
