The Brief
We were asked to transfer an existing website, written in PHP, over to the WordPress framework so that the site owners could more readily modify their content on the site.
Content is king in the twenty-first Century, so being able to add pages and blog posts to your site are imperative for better search engine rankings.
The Process
To keep costs low we took existing code from the site and transferred it into WordPress shortcodes so that the designer could work more readily with the underlying code without having to dirty his hands too much.
The need for good communication between designer and developer is essential so that each one’s input is not undone by the next change made.
The live site has yet to be updated as the new site is currently still on the development server until it goes live on April the 2nd, 2019.
